At Creative Approaches, we take ongoing site maintenance as seriously as we do the initial design and development of your site. Often, if the maintenance needs are assessed at the beginning of a project, development time is saved by not having to retrofit your new web site to fit the desired maintenance plan. We can either do all the maintenance on the site for you, or we can arrange to have your staff edit and maintain the content. Some clients arrive at a plan consisting of a "blend" of the two.

Ongoing Site Maintenance Performed by CAI:

CAI is willing to do all maintenance activity on an hourly basis, as requested. Requests can come to us via email, phone, FAX or mail. Billing will be at the end of each month for hours worked that month. Most textual changes take a few minutes to complete, and we can usually have them done for you within 24-hours.

Graphical changes and changes to the main navigation are generally more involved and will take more time. We always offer you a quote for development as well as a timeframe when changes to your site are requested. Major changes may require the need for review prior to uploading to your live site, in which case a temporary version of the affected pages is created for review.

We highly recommend making updates and changes to the content of your site on a monthly basis. Just like anything which portrays a first-impression of your company, keeping it up-to-date, clean, and functioning properly are imperitive to raising yourself above the competition.

Ongoing Site Maintenance Performed On-site by the Client:

For routine maintenance of site content and grapics/photos, we often recommend software called Contribute. Contribute can be purchased directly from Adobe.com or CAI can purchase it for the client and will install it on the desired computer. Once it is installed and set up (on a PC or Mac), it permits the user to be able to easily revise the site content and photos. This product has been used with success by many of our clients, who find it to be easy to learn. Of course, CAI is always just a phone call away for changes which are above the capabilities of this software. CAI offers an optional customized training session with the software, also.
